IV NUTRITIONAL THERAPY

If you’re interested in exploring IV therapy, it’s important to understand how it works.

The acronym “IV” stands for intravenous therapy, “intra-” meaning within or inside, and “venous” relating to the veins.

Intravenous nutrient therapy has become the secret weapon for many celebrities like Madonna and Jane Fonda for antiaging and beauty.

Athletes receive intravenous vitamins after their games to help speed up their recovery.

IV Therapy is the fastest way to deliver nutrients throughout the body because it bypasses the digestive system and goes directly into the organs, resulting in a 90-100% absorption rate (as opposed to only 20-50% possible when given orally).

WHAT GOES INTO IV INFUSION?

Each infusion differs depending on the health and wellness needs of each patient.

The most common ingredients that go into IVs include:

Saline. This is a solution of salt in water and is the most common type of fluid for IVs. A Saline solution is great for dehydration and hangovers since sodium is a type of electrolyte.

Vitamins. The benefits of vitamins and antioxidants are essential, as they can give us a boost of energy, strengthen our immune system, plus so much more.

Electrolytes. These essential elements and compounds hydrate our bodies, regulate nerve and muscle function, regulate blood pressure, and more. Besides sodium, your body needs potassium, calcium, bicarbonate, magnesium, chloride, and phosphate — all of which are electrolytes.

Glutathione. Glutathione is one of the most powerful oxidants found in every single cell of your body. It is a main detoxifier and protects us from chemicals, heavy metals, pesticides, and other toxins. When G. interacts with toxins, it binds them to make the toxins water-soluble so they can be eliminated from the body.

Your body needs more glutathione as you age, but your ability to produce the antioxidant diminishes over time.

Unfortunately,  glutathione is not very effective when taken orally as a pill because it is absorbed hardly. An IV infusion is the most effective way to get it in your system.

Due to its multiple benefits, glutathione is the main ingredient of many of my IV protocols.

Aminoacids.  They’re the “building blocks” that make proteins. Amino acids in the body contribute to muscle development, recovery from injury and illness, repair of the body’s tissues, and even the production of hormones and enzymes that regulate blood sugar levels.

I offer a free consultation before the first infusion to choose or customize the drip that is meeting your wellness and health needs.

How Often Should I Get an IV Infusion?

For preventative health and wellness, I recommend two IV drips per month, as this helps balance out any vitamin deficiencies.

Health conditions require an individual approach.
